Shipping and delivery
We endeavour to deliver goods within 5 working days. Whilst Chart Fencing endeavours to meet any agreed delivery dates, we reserve the right to change the agreed delivery date in the event of unforeseen circumstances and we will not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused to yourselves arising from a delayed delivery date.
We would prefer you to be present to receive deliveries so that you can check that the correct items and quantities have been delivered. We can arrange for the items to be left in a safe place by prior arrangement, however, this will be entirely at your own risk. In the event that we are using an outside courier, a signature will be required.
If the goods being delivered are of a heavy nature you may be required to assist the driver.
Please note that once the goods have been paid for in full and have been delivered to your premises ownership and liabilities arising from ownership transfer from us to yourself.
We typically deliver goods using our own vehicle – usually a one tonne flatbed truck.
Access to delivery address must be unrestricted – this must be confirmed when placing your order.
The carry for a shed must be no further than 25 metres from the lorry – anything further than this must be discussed prior to delivery.
Our drivers cannot drive their vehicles off a hard road surface.
Our drivers make every effort to deliver the goods as close as possible to the desired destination on your property. However, our delivery drivers are to only deliver to kerbside. Anything other than this will be at the discretion of the driver.
*Timber sizes quoted are sawn dimensions and will be smaller after planing. Metric to Imperial measurements are approximate and must not be relied upon. We reserve the right to alter our specifications without notice.
Colours/Finishes of products may vary.
Returns/re-stocking policy
Any problems with an order or damage to any items must be reported to Chart Fencing within 24 hours of delivery/collection.
Goods being returned must be in an unused/new condition and in its original packaging (if applicable) and must be returned within 14 days of delivery/collection.
If the return is due to customer error and the goods need collecting, a collection charge will be made. The charge for collection will be the same as the delivery charge (please consult the delivery charges information for the correct amount).
If the return is due to customer error a re-stocking charge of 10% will be applied.
PLEASE NOTE: Returns will not be accepted for the following items – Concrete products, post-crete, morticed timber posts and any specially made items such as panels and gates.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY GOODS THAT WE FEEL ARE NOT IN A CONDITION THAT WE DEEM SUITABLE FOR RE-SALE.
Wood is a natural product and due to its nature is liable to warping, cracking, splitting and shrinkage. If you are unhappy with any product that has been supplied we must be informed within 24 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any changes caused by natural weathering once installed.
